robin hood weekend

Imagine walking through the thick forests, clutching your bow and two arrows, quietly stalking up to your prey and slowly drawing back your padded arrow......to let it fly with a resounding thump accompanied by a cry of surprise from your unsuspecting target!
The Robin Hood Weekend is a course that introduces many skills that a 12th century woodsman would need to live: Campfire cooking, tactical movement, hyper awareness and knowledge of weaponry.
This course gives hands on experience with archery basics, tactical archery, Padded Arrow Combat, and engaging moving and airborne targets while walking and running. There will be a three dimensional walk through archery range. There will be a introduction to staff fighting and blind folded staff fighting. Weather permitting we will train in water as well as land. Thrown weapons will be covered. Negotiations are being conducted with a local sword master to provide training in sword fighting using foam swords.
The weekend's grand finale' will be the Robin Hood Weekend Tournament. This archery and tactical skills challenge will test the skills of the woodland archer. The winner will go home with a €50 voucher for future IPNA courses. The first runner up will win a €25 voucher.
