   How often are you in a place where you are miles or hours away from medical care, or have no access to the phone for the ambulance. You could find yourself in this situation while traveling in a foreign country, while hill walking, or even during a stroll through the Brecon Beacons. What do you do when you find someone unconscious on the ground? What about if you find them on the top of a mountain? Help is literally hours away.
    There are many people operating small farms. Accidents from farm machinery is still one of the leading causes for trauma. It is important for anyone working with dangerous equipment especially when they are working by themselves to have a good first aid course.

   This course will teach you all the basics on what to do when help is far away. It will take you from little or no experience and give you medical knowledge and hands on training to be able to assess and treat most of the common medical situations one would face in a city or remote environment.

   This is a two-day, 16 hour course designed for anyone who wants the skills to help a friend or family member stay alive until help arrives. No previous experience is necessary. This introduction to emergency response training includes patient assessment, musculoskeletal and soft tissue injuries, splinting, diabetes, shock, and a variety of other topics.

   The course teaches how to provide emergency care in remote settings and in inclimate weather, using whatever equipment you have and coping with the medical emergency. Lecture and discussion, practical exercise and outdoor scenarios help students gain confidence, and encourage the development of critical decision making skills.

   Students are certified with the Remote Emergency Care Level 2 Course . The REC 2 course is the national standard for outdoor leaders and mountian rescue both in Ireland and throughout the UK.
